When I became a mother, I noticed the lack of representation and diversity in the motherhood community. It was frustrating not to see or hear many stories, resources, or tools related to my motherhood experience as a Black woman. BIPOC moms are in the motherhood space, and it's unfair that they are often not represented not only physically, but our stories are missing. Melanated Mamas is a space where we can bridge the gap, to be seen, be heard, and be empowered.
